Set Your Fundraising Goal

Ask for your first donation today! Think of the people you can ask like your family, friends and co-workers who won’t say no. Get that initial donation to start momentum. You can do it! The sooner you get started, the easier it will be to reach beyond your fundraising goal.

Send Frequent E-mails

Log in to the Participant Centre to find a simple e-mail you can forward to all of your contacts. Personalizing the e-mail with why you are taking part in Colour To Conquer will lead to greater success. Inspire your donors to support you! Send follow up e-mails to remind your contacts to donate to your campaign.

Share on Social Media

Friends, family, co-workers, social followers – you’re well connected and it’s time to put that network to good use! Use Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social media platforms to share your hair colouring transformation and encourage others to support you.

FACEBOOK FUNDRAISER

Facebook is a great tool that can help you connect with your community, share your fundraising goals and raise funds. Facebook Fundraisers make it easy to receive support and easily spread your story.

Please note – Facebook Fundraisers does not integrate with the official Colour To Conquer account, and funds raised through the Facebook platform will not be eligible for prizes and or offers through the Colour To Conquer website

Here are easy step-by-step instructions to download and set up your Facebook Fundraiser in a way to be tracked and credited to your Colour To Conquer fundraising efforts.

Select Fundraisers on your Facebook navigation menu, on the left side of your browser on desktop and in the drop-down menu on the Facebook mobile app.
From the Fundraisers screen, select Raise Money For a Nonprofit, then you will be prompted to set up your fundraiser
In the Search For a Charity to Support menu, search for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Upon selecting The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, you will be then prompted to enter a dollar amount, and end date.
On the next menu screen, update the title of your fundraiser to include:
1. First and last name
2. Colour To Conquer
You will be able to create your fundraiser on the next menu screen.

These are but a few ideas that we know can work. Get your team together, brainstorm and plan your activities! It will be a great way to build team spirit and do something meaningful for the cancer cause.

If you collect funds from a special event, you can submit a donation form and send a cheque in the mail but this may take more time to upload to your team members and your team ranking may not reflect this for a while.

The best way to get your event fundraising uploaded once you have raised the money is to divvy it up by Team Participant and input the donations online, to each team member via a Credit Card.
